Woven Label Width Guide: Standard Sizes & Selection Tips

A few millimeters of woven label width may seem trivial, but width directly affects sewing position, wearing comfort, how much information fits, and production cost. Get it wrong and text crowds or distorts — or the whole batch needs rework. This guide covers standard woven label widths, weaving limits and position-based recommendations, so you set the right specs before sampling.

1. Common Woven Label Widths

Finished woven label width typically ranges from 8mm to 40mm, with 10–20mm the most common in apparel. Width usually follows function: main (neck) labels run narrow, while side seam and care labels run wider.
