Printing the FSC logo on pack requires a valid certificate across the whole chain (mill, converter, printer); the FSC Recycled label specifically proves recycled fiber content. If you simply claim 'contains recycled material', keep your supplier's recycled-content certificates and verify the percentage wording to avoid misleading claims.
5. Cost & Sampling Advice
Recycled paper usually costs close to or slightly below virgin paper, but prices move with the recycled pulp market — ask suppliers for current quotes. Cost levers: use enough weight, not more — around 300gsm for hang tags, weight by load for bags; subtract finishing — use embossing or foil accents instead of full lamination; combine orders — source tags, bags and boxes together to spread plate and sampling costs.
