1. Why Legibility Matters
Consumers follow the washing symbols, and inspectors and customs check the label content. A care label that is blurred, faded or rubbed off is as good as no label at all — at best it hurts the repurchase experience, at worst it gets a whole shipment rejected.

2. Fonts & Sizes
As an industry rule of thumb, minimum text height on care labels is around 1.5-2mm, preferably in a sans-serif font with even stroke weight. No country sets a single mandatory size, but the universal baseline is that an average consumer can read it easily.
